Apply for the Voters of the Future Campus Ambassador Program
A Faces of the Future Initiative
Faces of the Future is seeking energetic, enthusiastic, and motivated young adults who are passionate about volunteering and mobilizing their peers to vote and volunteer. The organization is launching its first-ever Ambassador Program called Voters of the Future! We are in search of exceptional young adults to join a cohort of like-minded college students from across the country to help implement this program.
Hours and Duration:
Ambassadors are expected to dedicate a minimum of ten hours per semester from August through November 2020. Ambassadors are required to complete a short training session via video-conference and host one, 2-3 hour voter registration drive during campus orientation, back to school week or sometime in the month of September. In addition, Ambassadors are asked to promote voting on Federal, State and Local Election Days and take 5-10 people to the polls with them. Additional on-campus events around voting, social justice or democracy are recommended (with prior approval) but not required.
The Ambassadors position is not a job but an elevated volunteer position.
Each Ambassador will receive a Faces of the Future T-shirt which they will be expected to wear at their on-campus Voter Registration Drive and other Faces of the Future events. You will receive a small stipend for supplies, e.g. soft drinks, snacks or giveaways to host an on-campus Voter Registration Drive. In addition, at the conclusion of a successful voter registration drive, each Ambassador will receive a small stipend. Additional opportunities for prizes may also be available.
For students in need of volunteer hours, Faces of the Future will provide an official letter outlining the duties performed as an Ambassador and total number of hours spent.
How to Apply:
Please submit your resume and an answer (250 words or less) to the question below by August 7th.
